Our promise, continued... The ALUMNI.

SUPPORT

The Latino Youth Leadership Alumni is dedicated to giving back to the community in which we live. Throughout the year the LYLA has many service days where we go out into the community and do whatever we can to help the community grow and thrive. Some of these events include; Days of Service with organizations, Adopt a Family, Trunk a Treat, and Wetlands: Hands-On. Each of these events are to give back in whatever way we can. However the events cannot help without all of your dedication!

The LYLA shows support in two ways: helping the community and supporting each other.

One of the main events done as an organization is Adopt-A-Family at the end of the year. This event is where 10 or more families are adopted and are given food, toiletries, and toys for the kids. The families adopted are in need of the help and the LYLA want to be able help them in any way possible.

The second way of support we provide is support for each other. The LYLA recognize each other as a family. Though there are different familias in the conference, we still come together as one united family through the LYLA. Friendships are built with the people in the organization that will last a lifetime. Whenever anyone is in need of help they can always rely on the alumni.

The good times don’t have to end with the conference! Join fellow alumni for socials and fundraisers requested by YOU and planned out by the E-Board. Whether it’s a movie night, an Applebee’s Fundraiser, or the annual end-of-year celebratory LYLA Banquet, reconnect with alumni from your conference year, and meet so many more. Be a part of our event committees and have a role in which events happen! It’s all about sharing laughs, remembering moments and making new memories. You’re a part of the Alumni now- we’re all excited to see you at our next event!
