LYLC

The Latino Youth Leadership Conference is a six-day conference aimed at empowering Latino youth through education and leadership.

Students have the opportunity to experience college life by staying at the dorms of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. During their stay, participants are exposed to different topics, explore their cultural identity, and are empowered to continue their education.

High School students between the ages of 16 and 18 are encouraged to apply. Participants are selected from all socio-economic backgrounds, academic standings, and from all over the state of Nevada.

Participants attend the LYLC at NO cost to the student or their families. All accommodations and materials are provided.

The goals of the conference include:

  • Empower youth with leadership skills and community involvement

  • Encourage youth to pursue and complete higher education

  • Emphasize culture, community, values, and resilience.
